For all who didn’t know Mike Blake, he was a compassionate and loving coach in our community.  He spent countless hours sharing his love of sports with children of all ages. His spirit lives on with this annual event. With your support the tournament has already raised over $25,000 for Mike’s children’s college education.

This tournament will have a maximum of 80 teams from 4^th through 8^th grade boys and girls. Each team is guaranteed 3 games plus a potential 4^th championship game. In our first four years, we have filled each age group very fast. If you would like to commit your team to this tournament, please e-mail Marshall Grupp at mgrupp@soundlounge.com. First come, first serve!! If your town enters teams for all age groups boys and girls, there will be a 10% discount. If you are a boy’s team participating in the NJJBL League we would appreciate it if you would block out the time that the tournament takes place on the “gym availability” form. This will help to avoid conflicts between tournament and league games especially during the weekend of Dec 3rd and 4^th.

There is a space on the registration form where you can tell us which dates and times do not work for you. We realize that there are football dinners, religious functions etc. Please try to hold your requests to one date. We will do our best to schedule around these conflicts. All registration forms must be accompanied with a certificate of insurance from your insurance company specifically naming USR Basketball Association as certificate holder. ALL PLAYERS MUST RESIDE IN THE YOUR TOWN OR ATTEND SCHOOL IN THE TOWN.

The league is grade based but does have an age cutoff. Players in the 4^th grade cannot turn 11 prior to 1/1/12, 5^th grade cannot turn 12 prior to 1/1/12, 6^th grade cannot turn 13 prior to 1/1/12, 7^th grade cannot turn 14 prior to 1/1/12 and 8^th grade cannot turn 15 prior to 1/1/12

players MUST play in their grade or above, they cannot play in a grade below regardless of their age. Ex: player in the 5^th grade that is only 10 yrs old would have to play in the 5^th grade division. There are no exceptions to the age cutoffs.
